The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for the safe care of patients undergoing Interventional Radiology Procedures (diagnostics, biopsies, embolizations, and drain placements). The duties include administration and monitoring of moderate sedation, assisting with airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and management of critical care infusions. Ability to respond to emergency situations and assist with triage of inpatients and procedural flow to ensure efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs.
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as per physicians’ orders.
• Providing compassionate care to patients and families.
• Documenting all nursing processes in patient records.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in our state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum one year RN experience, 18 months preferred.
• Preferred experience in IR, Cath Lab, ICU, or PACU.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications (e.g., CCRN, CNOR) preferred.
