Job summary

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Miami is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Interventional Radiology unit on a 13-week day shift. You will work in a level 1 trauma center environment, performing a full scope of IR procedures and supporting a high-performing team.

The role focuses on patient care, coordination with staff, and documentation in Meditech Expanse. Active RN license with IR experience, ACLS and BLS are required to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with interventional radiology procedural experience.
• Experience with IR protocols and procedures, including neuro-interventional cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full scope of interventional radiology procedures such as TAVR, Mitra Clip, carotid stenting, and peripheral arterial cases.
• Complete lumbar punctures, paras, thoracentesis, drain placements, ports, DSA, and neurologically related interventions.
• Monitor patient care in the holding area, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4 depending on acuity levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication with patients and families.

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology unit at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is equipped with 5 labs and features a team-based environment with 1-2 techs per procedure. The unit takes pride in being a Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized as the number one HCA stroke center in the company. Nurses will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and staff in a well-operated department known for its excellence and leadership. The primary documentation system used is Meditech Expanse.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full scope of interventional radiology procedures such as TAVR, Mitra Clip, carotid stenting, and peripheral arterial cases.
