Froedtert Health in Milwaukee seeks a Registered Nurse for the 5SE Internal Medicine Unit. This unit specializes in complex adult populations and offers a supportive learning environment with at least 9 weeks of orientation and mentoring.

Job type: On site. Department: 5SE-Internal Medicine.
Full Time Equivalent: 0.9 (36 hours per week).
Shift: Shift 3 (1900-0730). Holidays: rotating. Weekends: every 3rd.
Sign‑on Bonus: Eligible for $15,000.
5SE is a 27‑bed internal medicine unit with neurology overflow. Patient population includes CHF, COPD, PNA, ESRD, DM, AMS, bariatric, cirrhosis, pancreatitis, acute strokes, and more. Froedtert offers at least 9 weeks of orientation with a dedicated preceptor and positive mentoring in a hands‑on learning environment.
The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment, primarily adult population.
Skills used: Foley insertions, trach care/suctioning, G‑Tube, wound care, NG insertion, PIV/central line medications, PCA/CADD pumps, wound vacs.
Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to this unit.
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse. Any non‑BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed RN experience must enroll in a BSN (or higher) program within 15 months of hire, and complete the degree within 5 years (6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Current state of Wisconsin RN License or a Multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
