Job summary

The Registered Nurse position with Hackensack Meridian Health in Hackensack, NJ provides direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes expanding knowledge and clinical skills while delivering effective, patient-centered care across age groups and conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
• Experience: Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Nurse Residency Program
• Licenses & Certifications: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
• BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
