Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to transition from bedside care to CNA training, teaching in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings with our state-approved curriculum.

You will mentor adult learners, evaluate progress, supervise rotations, and ensure safe, quality patient care while maintaining documentation and compliance with training standards. Active Michigan RN license and at least two years of RN experience, plus long-term care

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of one (1) year (1,600 hours) of nursing experience in a long-term care setting within the past five (5) years
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing future healthcare professionals

Responsibilities

• Teach classroom, lab, and clinical instruction using our state-approved curriculum
• Demonstrate hands-on nursing skills and healthcare best practices
• Coach and mentor adult learners as they build clinical and professional competence
• Evaluate performance and give feedback that actually helps students grow
• Supervise clinical rotations and ensure safe, quality patient care
• Manage grades, attendance, and required program documentation
• Keep the program in compliance with state and federal training standards
• Build a classroom culture of professionalism, accountability, and heart
