Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an experienced registered nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care across the age spectrum. Under minimal supervision, you will supervise team members and coordinate care on the inpatient unit.

Requirements include NC RN license, BLS at hire with ACLS/PALS within 6 months, and 1 year med/surg experience. We offer competitive pay, sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NC Registered Nurse license.
• English language proficiency (verbal and written).
• BLS certification required at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, safe nursing care for patients across the age continuum.
• Under supervision, direct and provide professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide supervision and guidance to other team members; may act in manager's absence.
• Maintain patient safety and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
