Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital, a physician-owned medical center in Durham, is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our inpatient team. The primary objective is to deliver comprehensive, safe, and cost-effective nursing care for patients from 4 weeks to geriatric, under minimal supervision.

You'll utilize the nursing process, provide supervision to other staff, and may act in the manager's absence to ensure patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• Current and active RN license in North Carolina is required.
• English language proficiency in both verbal and written form is required.
• BLS certification at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical and/or surgical nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, safe, effective nursing care for patients across the age continuum.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide supervision and guidance to other team members.
• May be authorized to make decisions affecting the Inpatient Unit in the manager's absence.
