Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh is seeking a Registered Nurse for the E9 Inpatient Post-Surgery unit at West Penn Hospital. The role follows weekend program guidelines per West Penn CBA and supports post-operative care for bariatric, esophageal, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, urology and GI patients.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team in a 38-bed, non-monitored unit, typically 4–5 days per patient, ensuring patient safety, documentation and high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• 2 years of post-surgical hospital RN experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per the plan, assessing and adjusting as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate care.
• Promote patient safety and document outcomes and changes.
• Serve as a patient advocate and support continuous learning.
