Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is hiring an Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Post-Surgery Unit at West Penn Hospital. The unit provides post-op care for bariatric, esophageal, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, urology and GI patients with typical stays of 4–5 days.

The RN will lead nursing care planning, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period.
• Current PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the eNLC.

Responsibilities

• Provides transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care or health services.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and participates in department quality improvements.
• Supervises and evaluates delegated LPN scope of practice as appropriate.
