Qualified candidates hold PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR certification, and background clearances. Strong postoperative nursing experience is preferred for this role at Highmark Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Minimum two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period.
• Preferred: two years of post-surgical hospital RN experience.
• CPR Certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assess human responses and plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide transformational leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to create individualized patient care plans.
• Analyze health status and determine patient care needs.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel.
• Participate in professional development and continuous learning.
• Advocate for patients and assess patient/family satisfaction.
