Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI, United States is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 90% FTE pediatric unit at American Family Children's Hospital. Shifts are 8/12 hour Evening/Night (1900-0730 or 2300-0730) with every other weekend and holiday rotation; care spans infancy to adolescence on a high-acuity unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Six months nursing experience or Nurse Residency program participation required.
• RN license in WI or compact state required; CPR/BLS certified.
• Relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside pediatric nursing care on a 24-bed unit for infants to adolescents.
• Care for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including transplants and cardiovascular issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and high-quality patient outcomes.

90% FTE, 8/12 hour Evening/Night shifts (1900-0730 or 2300-0730) with an every other weekend and holiday rotation. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay:

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening and $5/hour night as applicable for hours worked.
• Weekend Differential: $4.25/hour as applicable for hours worked.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

• Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
• Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
• Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
• Relevant Certification Preferred
