Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc. is seeking an RN Nursing Informatics professional to serve as an infrastructure liaison between clinical staff and the IT department.

You will coordinate the ongoing support and optimization of the electronic medical record and other clinical technologies, ensuring safe patient care and efficient clinician workflows. Required: BSN; Ohio RN licensure; 5+ years RN experience; pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as a registered nurse.
• Ohio RN licensure required.
• ANCC Nursing Informatics certification preferred.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates implementation, utilization and ongoing support of clinical information systems to provide safe patient care.
• Acts as liaison between clinicians and IT to optimize clinician workflow.
• Leads initiatives to improve EMR design, deployment and adoption across departments.
• Provides guidance on information system needs and staff training.
• Participates in improvement projects and committees related to electronic medical records and patient safety.
