Job summary

Caldera Care in Washington state is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist / Staff Development Coordinator (RN IP/SDC). The role combines infection prevention, surveillance, and education leadership for the facility's clinical staff.

Under the pay range of $44.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE, you will implement CDC-aligned infection control protocols, supervise training programs, and support regulatory readiness. A current RN license and SNF experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Infection control and education experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English (read/write)

Responsibilities

• Infection surveillance, outbreak prevention, and control per CDC/public health guidelines.
• Lead antibiotic stewardship programs and hand hygiene audits.
• Coordinate continuous education and competency for clinical staff.
• Design orientation and mandatory regulatory training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Infection Preventionist (IP):
  • Responsible for the facility's infection surveillance, outbreak prevention, and control protocols.
  • Ensures adherence to CDC and public health guidelines, audits hand-hygiene, manages isolation precautions, and leads antibiotic stewardship programs.
• Staff Development Coordinator (SDC):
  • Responsible for the continuous education, clinical training, and competency management of the facility's medical staff.
  • Designs orientation programs for new hires and manages mandatory regulatory training.

Qualifications:

• Current RN state licensure without any enforcement action against it
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred
• Previous Infection Control and Education experience preferred
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
