Job summary

Warren Barr Lincoln Park in Chicago, IL is seeking a Full-Time Psychotropic/Infection Preventionist to join our caring team. The role leads our infection control program, ensures staff training, and maintains compliance with JCAHO, CMS, CDC, and IDPH standards to protect resident safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college, university or school of nursing and a current unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing.
• Must complete the required Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Certification course as approved by CDC.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct the facility's infection control program to meet federal, state and local standards.
• Ensure staff training to prevent/spread infections and maintain high standards of care and safety.
• Demonstrate leadership and supervisory ability; work harmoniously with staff and residents while adhering to regulations.
