Job summary

Newvistanursing is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to translate nursing philosophy into practice by planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care delivery system. You will provide guidelines to prevent and control contagious diseases for residents and staff.

The role includes establishing infection control guidelines, monitoring sanitation, ensuring policy adherence and coordinating quarterly in-services on infection control practices for staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license (NJ).
• Minimum 3 years full-time clinical experience; 2 years in Dialysis Center; 1 year in management/supervisory capacity preferred.
• CBIC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establish guidelines for prevention and spread of contagious, infectious or communicable disease.
• Monitor sanitary environment for facility personnel, residents, and visitors.
• Ensure infection control policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
