Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care under physician and leadership supervision. You will perform assessments across age groups, develop care plans with the team, and document interventions to ensure quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes critical thinking, timely communication, and adherence to ANA standards, with a focus on patient education, safety, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
Licenses/Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA/ARC; RN license in Texas or suitable compact.
Preferred BSN degree and 1 year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments across age groups.
Develops and communicates a care plan with the interdisciplinary team.
Implements nursing interventions based on assessments; documents actions and outcomes.
Prioritizes care and reports changes in condition promptly to team.
Adheres to hospital policies and professional nursing standards; supports patient education and discharge planning.
