Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking Registered Nurses for MAGNET facilities to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. The role includes directing and leading other team members and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver developmentally appropriate care.

You will focus on patient and family-centered care while maintaining privacy, professional conduct, and adherence to MUSC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless current MUSC employee.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Maintain patient privacy and professional behavior in a safe healing environment.
• Participate in shared governance and ongoing professional development to promote clinical excellence.
• Coordinate care delivery and health teaching and promotion in line with MUSC policies.
