The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks an experienced Registered Nurse II for overnight coverage in a 23-hour observation unit. Shifts vary: 4-10 hour days or 3-12 hour nights, with no weekends or call.

Bachelor of Nursing preferred; BSN progression required for some hires; minimum RN experience and SC compact licensure with BLS on file. The role emphasizes individualized patient care, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to nursing process standards to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within four years.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide overnight individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process; deliver safe and effective care.
• Interact with health care team to achieve desired results.
• Hours per Week: 36 or 40 with shifts varying by unit needs; Days: 4-10 hour shifts; Nights: 3-12 hour shifts; No weekends, holidays or call.
