Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care in the PACU. You will apply the nursing process and work with families and patients to achieve safe, effective outcomes.

Under general supervision, this role requires SC RN licensure (or compact state), BLS, and preferably a BSN with ICU experience. Night shifts, 36 hours per week, and occasional weekends are involved.

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• RN with Associate/Diploma must enroll in BSN within two years and complete within four years.
• Minimum one year of RN experience required.
• At least one year of ICU experience preferred.
• SC Board of Nursing licensure or compact state licensure.
• Current BLS required (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and interact with health care team to achieve results.
• Work with families and patients under general supervision.

Education

BSN preferred

RN with Associate or Diploma must enroll in BSN within two years

RN with BSN required within four years of hire (policy A141)

Minimum one year RN experience

ICU experience preferred
