Washington State Department of Social and Health Services SCC is hiring a Registered Nurse 2 for the Special Commitment Center at McNeil Island. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents with cognitive disabilities, supporting health, well-being, and dignity.

Opportunities on-site at least three days a week may include a 5% premium, plus a $10 daily premium, free ORCA card, and ferry transportation. Shifts include evening and night with differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Washington state or eligible for licensure by start of employment.
• Minimum of two years of RN experience.
• Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care.

Responsabilités

• Transcribe and verify orders.
• Order medications refills and renewals.
• Inform Providers and Nurse Manager of changes in residents’ health status.
• Educate residents on health conditions and medication management.
• Maintain pharmacy operations and prepare medication carts.
• Provide patient care to aging facility population and residents with cognitive disabilities.
• Assist in developing and managing individual rehabilitation plans.
• Implement care plans, administer medications, and assist with exams.
• Respond to medical calls and emergencies.
