Job summary

Methodist Hospital Texsan in San Antonio, TX seeks a Registered Nurse II for the Medical Specialty Unit to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with standards of practice. You will collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure outstanding patient experiences and outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patient status at admission and each shift, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about treatments and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license/registration in good standing (RN)
• No travel required

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift; report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses; document care in the medical record.
• Provide responsive care; anticipate and address patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up steps.

Education

Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
