Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC seeks a Registered Nurse II for the 8D EH Medical Acute Care unit. Under general supervision, the RN provides individualized patient care and collaborates with the health care team to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.

Preferred BSN; current SC RN licensure or compact state; BLS required. Minimum of one year RN experience; 36-hour week with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN with ADN/ Diploma must pursue BSN within four years of hire.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve outcomes.
• Maintain readiness for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Education

Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
