Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Lifeline Transport Team. This full-time role features a rotating 12-hour shift schedule and a 40-hour workweek, focusing on critical care transports across air, ground, and hospital settings.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN with progression toward BSN, RN license, and CPR certification, plus 6 months of nursing experience; ICU/CCU experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN required; must matriculate into BSN program.
• RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum six months nursing experience required.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• 2–3 years ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
• BSN degree preferred; ADN will be considered with progression.

Responsibilities

• Provide Lifeline transport nursing care during air, ground and in-house transfers.
• Deliver 24/7 advanced life support and critical care during transports.

Join Our Team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital – Registered Nurse in the Lifeline Transport Team

Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: 12-hour rotating days and night shift

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Lifeline Transport Team is an integral part of The Department of Emergency Services. The Department of Emergency Services is a designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, regional Pediatric Trauma Center, Eye Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Cardiac Center for the state of Maryland. The Lifeline team executes thousands of air, ground and in-house patient transports yearly and assists in preserving the lives of our most critically ill patients during these transports. Lifeline’s mission is to bring 24/7 advanced life support and critical care services to The Johns Hopkins community.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
• Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
• RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
• CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
• 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
• 2 to 3 years of ICU/ Critical Care experience (Preferred)

Salary Range: Minimum $39.64/hour - Maximum $64.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
