Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the GI/ENDO/GEN MED unit on the third shift. The RN II will provide comprehensive nursing care, conduct assessments, plan and evaluate patient outcomes, and lead in patient education and safety initiatives.

The role requires Virginia/West Virginia licensure, BLS certification, and BSN is preferred. Attention to quality care, teamwork, and professional leadership will be essential as you coordinate with the health team and uphold nursing

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia or West Virginia
• RN certification (BLS) required; ACLS preferred for Labor & Delivery
• BSN preferred; advancement requires licensure and competency evaluations

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Coordinate and communicate with care team to ensure quality patient care
• Provide patient education and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in unit initiatives and quality/safety activities
