Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• 6 months RN experience.
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Brings patient to exam room, takes vital signs and documents in EMR.
• Review and update medication list in EMR for provider review.
• Complete referrals and tracks patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and send for review.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by provider.
• Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics.
• Educate patients regarding medication, testing procedures and home care.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and proper labeling for specimens.
• Use EMR to communicate with colleagues and providers.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing

HS Diploma/equivalent

Current NYS RN license

Basic Life Support certification
