Job summary

Amergis Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive PMH care within correctional settings. The role emphasizes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, CPR certification, and a health certificate as required. Must be 18+ and able to meet all regulatory requirements. Location includes Sanford, FL and Polk City, FL with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification if applicable
• Health certificate as per contract or state regulations
• Meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric/mental health nursing care across settings
• Assess, diagnose, and plan treatment for mental health and substance use disorders
• Coordinate patient care with the health team and ensure safe patient outcomes

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse,requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise.PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition tothe assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance usedisorders. The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner anddemonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination ofpatient care. The PMH RN works in avariety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families,and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
