Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive care for individuals, families, and communities. You will apply nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, providing timely clinical judgments and coordinated patient care.

Positions are available as contract, part-time, or travel assignments in New York, with competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• One year of psych experience preferred
• PMH-BC certification preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders
• Promote well-being through prevention and education
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team

The Psychiatric/Mental Health RegisteredNurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective andefficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability inthe coordination of patient care. ThePsychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings andprovides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities whenapplicable.
