Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on the North Olympic Peninsula is seeking an ICU/Telemetry RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs and other staff while delivering direct patient care and coordinating with families for education and discharge planning.

WA RN license required with BLS/ACLS; NIHSS is preferred. The role includes various shift differentials, weekend coverage, and per diem pay options; the hospital emphasizes an excellent benefits package and a PN

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current WA RN license.
• Two years of hospital ICU experience preferred.
• Washington State RN license, BLS, ACLS and NIHSS are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for ICU/Telemetry patients.
• Promote continuity of care and supervise LPNs, CNAs and other staff.
• Provide patient and family teaching and uphold nursing standards.

Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit, providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Aides and other support staff. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements concerning his or her age-specific needs. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Demonstrates the values contained in the OMC and Nursing Department mission and philosophy statements. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and OMC. Has contact with patients under a variety of circumstances.
