Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA is seeking a part-time ICU/Telemetry RN to provide direct patient care, assess needs, plan and evaluate outcomes while coordinating with the care team.

Requires WA RN license, BLS, ACLS and NIHSS; graduate from accredited nursing program; two years hospital experience preferred. Night shifts include differential pay; weekend/holiday shifts available.

Qualifications

• WA RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for ICU/Telemetry patients.
• Promote continuity of care and supervise LPNs, CNAs and other staff.
• Provide patient and family teaching and uphold professional standards.
• Support OMC mission and maintain professional image.

Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit, providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Aides and other support staff. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements concerning his or her age-specific needs. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Demonstrates the values contained in the OMC and Nursing Department mission and philosophy statements. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and OMC. Has contact with patients under a variety of circumstances.
