Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the ICU Step Down at Mercy Hospital - W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma. This full-time night shift (36 hours per week) offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified nurses and opportunities to advance patient care in a high-acuity environment.

The unit serves neurological, medical, and surgical patients as part of a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on compassionate care, professional development,

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• BSN preferred but ADN is acceptable.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU Step Down unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and safety standards.

Overview:

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
