Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced RN for the ICU night shift (7pm-7:30am) on a full-time basis, 36 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a community-based hospital setting.

Requirements include at least one year of nursing experience, an Illinois nursing license, CPR, ACLS and NIHSS within 3 months, and PALS/NRP within six months.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience (preferred).
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current Illinois Nursing license.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS and NIHSS within 3 months.
• PALS or NRP may be required within six months.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain current competency; contribute to professional development; promote safety.
• Supervise staff; document thoroughly; respond to emergency situations.
