Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care unit at EMRMC Regional Medical Center. The RN will apply the nursing process to plan, provide and direct patient care in a demanding ICU setting.

The role requires a Kentucky ADN, an active RN license, BLS, ACLS and rhythm certification, with a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. shift. A $10,000 bonus is eligible for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ADN nursing program.
• Current RN License in Kentucky.
• BLS certification within 3 months of employment.
• ACLS certification within 12 months of employment.
• Basic Rhythm Course completed within 12 months of employment.

Job Summary:

Accomplishment of nursing practice that includes practice elements as defined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing and in accordance with the Ephraim McDowell Health nursing professional practice model. Performance that accomplishes patient and family centered care as central to practice and a foundation of caring, compassion, competence, communication, collaboration and teamwork. Responsible to participate in shared nursing leadership to accomplish positive outcomes, education, respect, dignity and safety for the patient and their family. Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort:

Works in a well lighted, ventilated and air conditioned area. Schedule may consist of weekends, holidays and shift work. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods of standing, walking, stooping heavy lifting and bending are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection and physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently.

Experience Required

None.

Education Required

Graduate of an accredited ADN nursing program.

Certification Required

Current RN License in the state of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (successful completion within one [1] year of employment). Basic Rhythm Course required (successful completion within one [1] year of employment).

Compensation:

$30.19 - $49.34 $10,000 Bonus Eligible
