Mercy Pittsburg’s ICU unit is seeking an RN to provide comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity setting. You will apply the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the relevant state and/or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) by American Heart Association
• Experience in critical care setting preferred

Position Details:

The ICU unit at Mercy Pittsburg has 12 beds with a mixed population critical care department that serves a multitude of patient populations. The variation of acuity creates a nursing landscape prime for growth of both knowledge and skill set.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Experience: Preferred experience in Critical Care setting
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
