Job summary

Atlas MedStaff LLC. is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in a Neuro ICU in Newburgh, Indiana. You will care for critically ill adults, perform NIHSS and dysphagia screenings, and manage ventilator/vasoactive therapies.

Shifts are 12 hours (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) with floating between nearby campuses as needed, offering exposure to post-code events, stroke/sepsis care, and complex neurological procedures.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel assignment caring for critically ill adults in a Neuro ICU setting. As a registered nurse, you will manage general ICU patients and support patients recovering from stroke, sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, post-code events, and complex neurological procedures. Your responsibilities will include advanced neurological assessments, NIHSS and dysphagia screenings, ventilator and ETT management, telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation, sepsis protocols, and initiation or titration of sedative, paralytic, cardiac, and vasoactive medications. The assignment includes 12-hour day shifts, floating within your skill set between nearby campuses when needed, and caring for patients with conditions such as CRRT needs and external ventriculostomy devices. This is an opportunity to sharpen high-acuity critical care skills while working alongside an experienced team.
