Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) for a 13-week contract in Los Angeles, CA. The ICU nurse will deliver expert care to adults and geriatrics in a high-acuity setting, with emphasis on cardiovascular patients, dysrhythmia interpretation, and complex IV therapies.

The role requires minimum 2 years ICU experience, CA RN license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and opening heart surgery exposure. Schedule is Day Shift 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years ICU experience with cardiovascular cases.
  • California RN license required at submission.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required (NIHSS is required).
  • Experience with open heart surgery and balloon pump management.
  • Completion of advanced EKG exam before start; onsite competency evaluation required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
  • Monitor vital signs, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage IV insulin protocols.
  • Administer blood products and manage arterial and central lines.
  • Care for ventilated patients and manage various acute conditions.
  • Participate in self-scheduling and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families.

Job Description

The Critical Care Registered Nurse will provide expert nursing care to adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced ICU environment. The nurse is responsible for managing critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular conditions, and must demonstrate a strong ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage complex intravenous therapies.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
  • Monitor vital signs, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage IV insulin protocols.
  • Administer blood products and manage arterial and central lines.
  • Care for ventilated patients and manage various acute conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
