Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in New Mexico. The role requires 2+ years in ICU, a valid state or compact nursing license, and a 12-hour shift pattern with varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Assess education and discharge needs and facilitate patient and family learning.

Must-Have:

• Selected candidates must successfully pass a BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test.
• Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test.
• Should they fail, candidates will have one opportunity to re-test; a second failure will result in contract cancellation and applicable fees.
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Description:Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
