Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool on a 13-week contract. The role requires rotating between ICU floors and occasionally lower acuity units, with a night shift schedule (3x12 hours) and holiday coverage.

Candidates must have 1 year ICU experience, an active RN license in the applicable state, ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS, and Epic EMR experience is preferred. ARMStaffing provides benefits and support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Occasionally float to lower acuity units as needed.

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Minimum every other weekend required; may exceed to meet unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. The clinician will rotate between various ICU floors and may also float to lower acuity units, including telemetry, as needed. The position requires flexibility to commit to working three out of five major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ICU patients including assessing and monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Manage ventilated patients and administer blood products as necessary.
• Assist in high-acuity procedures, including but not limited to central line care, chest tube management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Occasionally float to lower acuity units as per patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; first-timers are accepted.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
