CommonSpirit Health operates CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, seeking a Medical Surgical RN to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform critical assessments, skilled procedures, and comprehensive care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include ADN, ND RN license on hire, CPR, and PALS within 90 days; BSN preferred with 1 year of experience. The position is based at CHI St.

Qualifications

  • BSN preferred with 1 year of experience in the discipline.

  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and others to understand care needs; initiates plan of care
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families and friends
  • Promotes patient independence by setting goals; teaches patients and families to understand condition, medications, and self-care
  • Ensures quality of care by adhering to standards and regulations and by monitoring health outcomes against goals
  • Resolves patient problems by using multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Protects patients and employees by following infection control, medication storage and controlled substances guidelines

  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
  • Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
  • Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

We are offering a $25,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Registered Nurse: ND, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 Days
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), 1 year of experience in the discipline.
