Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patient recovery and well-being.

You will perform assessments, plan care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting. You will apply your clinical skills, provide education to patients and families, and adhere to nursing standards and policies.

Qualifications

  • ADN required and ND RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACL S within 12 months of hire (ACLS) and PALS within 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies patient care requirements and initiates plan of care.
  • Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
  • Educates patients and families on condition, medications, and self-care.
  • Adheres to therapeutic standards and evaluates health outcomes against goals and standards.
  • Resolves patient problems with multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Follows infection control policies and medication safety procedures.

  • Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements; initiates plan of care
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
  • Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations
  • Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations

Job Requirements
Required
  • Associate Of Nursing Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Registered Nurse: ND
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ACLC) 12 - months
Preferred
  • Bachelors Of Nursing (BSN)
  • 1-3 years nursing experience
