Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a dedicated Burn ICU Registered Nurse to provide expert care to burn patients. This role requires managing vasopressors, sedation, and ventilated patients in a fast-paced ICU, with flexibility to float to other units during low census.

Night shifts 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00), every other weekend required. Ohio RN license, BSN, ACLS/PALS/BLS active, and minimum 2 years ICU (burn) experience, Epic charting preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required and Ohio RN license active at submission.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications must be current.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience, burn unit preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

• Provide care for burn ICU patients.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Burn ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in need of specialized burn management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing vasopressor medications, sedation, and ventilated patients. Experience with adult and pediatric patients, as well as the ability to float to competent units during low census periods, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients in a burn ICU setting.
• Administer vasopressor medications and sedation as required.
• Provide ventilation management for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform arterial line management and wound care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure safety and adherence to infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Ohio RN license required at the time of submission.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications must be active and in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in a burn unit.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
