Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA seeks a dedicated RN I for the Operating Room to provide patient-centered care across all ages. You will assess and implement care plans, document accurately in EMR, and collaborate with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current RN license for Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized nursing care across all ages in the OR.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure safety.
• Document care and medications in electronic medical records accurately.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to coordinate care.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout procedures.
• Support orientation and training of new employees in the OR.

The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
• Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.

What We Require

Education

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience

None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support

AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications

Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range

$33.52 - $50.28
