Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN for Adult Mental Health on the Day shift (7am–7pm) for a full-time position at CRMH Rehab. The role includes comprehensive nursing care across ages, collaboration with the healthcare team, and documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include a Virginia RN license (or eligibility), BLS-HCP, and the ability to manage patient care and education. Sign-on bonuses are available for experienced and new graduate RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on area.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across all ages and document care.

This position is located at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) Rehab in Roanoke, VA. This position is full time, working days, 7am-7pm with EOW.

This position is eligible for the following:

• $25K Sign On Bonus Available for Experienced RNs
• $15K Sign on Bonus Available for New Grad RNs

The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.

• Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.
• Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.
• Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
