Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking an Emergency Department RN in Illinois to deliver comprehensive care for acutely ill patients in a fast-paced ED. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care following established standards, policies, and guidelines.

The role requires a Nursing Diploma or Associate degree (BSN preferred), Illinois licensure, ACLS or completion within 6 months, CPR certification, and 2–3 years of ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed in Illinois; ACLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment.
• Emergency Communication Registered Nurse licensure; TNCC to be completed within 2 years.
• CPR certification required or completed during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive care for acutely ill patients.
• Supervise nursing staff for groups of patients in the ED.
• Apply nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Job Description Summary: ***Sign-on bonuses up to $20,000.00*** As an Emergency Department RN, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care of acutely ill patient. The Emergency Department RN provides care to all age groups through the proper utilization of the nursing process; assessment, formulation of nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of plan of care in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. The Emergency Room RN is responsible for supervising nursing staff to care for groups of patients.

Education:

• Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

• Licensed in the State of Illinois.
• Certified in ACLS or completed within 6 months of employment.
• Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) licensure.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or TNCC to be completed within 2 years of hire (at discretion of manager).
• Certified in CPR or completes certification during Nursing Team Onboarding.

Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience preferred.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced skills in reading, writing and oral communication.
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic skills of professional nurse.
• Demonstrates skills in the use of clinical information systems, basic skills in keyboarding and use of computer systems.

Pay Transparency $30.23 - $48.37. Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program is dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
