Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Santa Fe, NM for a full-time, on-site position. The RN coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the unit’s standards, ensuring quality care while respecting patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate, current NM RN license, BLS, and strong communication. Responsibilities include assessments, planning, education, discharge planning, and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served.
• Knowledgeable about patients’ rights in care delivery.
• Communicates clearly and concisely appropriate to the patient’s development.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Obtains and records initial assessment and priorities by patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assesses patients systematically to identify progress and needed interventions.
• Develops and implements a measurable individualized plan of care within Nursing Standards of Care.
• Makes nursing decisions based on facts and outcomes, adjusts the plan as needed.
• Participates in health education and discharge planning.
• Implements and documents timely interventions for patient needs.
• Evaluates the plan of care.
• Performs various Point of Care testing procedures.
