Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of nursing program eligible to sit for VA licensure.
• Current Virginia RN licensure or eligibility.
• BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with the health care team to develop age-specific interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Provide education and advocacy to patients and families; document using EPIC.
• Manage resources and participate in unit and system performance improvement activities.

Education

Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam
