Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center in southern West Virginia seeks a Nurse Manager to lead nursing service activities for the scheduled shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care. You will relate effectively with other shifts and, in the director's absence, take charge.

Responsibilities include interpreting policy, evaluating procedures, coordinating staffing, supervising personnel, and reporting to the Director of Nursing Services.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years post-graduate acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Minimum two years medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in appropriate clinical care areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for personnel, management, and coordination of nursing service activities for the scheduled working shift.
• Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care and, in the absence of the Director of Nursing Services, takes charge.
• Interprets hospital policy and state law as related to the nursing service.
• Evaluates and recommends changes in nursing service records and policies.
