Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Shenandoah is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative leadership across our hospital, supporting patients with complex medical, rehabilitation, neurodevelopmental, and behavioral health needs. This role requires visibility, hands-on leadership, and a focus on safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ADN required from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• At least 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience, preferably within an acute care environment.
• Experience caring for patients with complex medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-wide clinical and administrative leadership during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Respond to emergencies and urgent staffing needs.
• Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff in clinical decision‑making.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practices and safety rounds.
