Job summary

Nexus Children's Hospital – The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse House Supervisor to lead nursing operations during assigned shifts. This role ensures safe patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with physicians, patients, and families across the hospital.

The ideal candidate brings a Texas RN license, 3+ years in acute care or neurodevelopmental settings, and current BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of three years of acute care, behavioral health, rehabilitation, or neurodevelopmental nursing experience.
  • Prior charge nurse, clinical leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership during assigned shifts.
  • Serve as the primary administrative resource for nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, staffing, and patient flow.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments based on patient acuity and census.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote continuous clinical excellence.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
