Job summary

Merit Health in Flowood, MS seeks a Nurse Leader to fill the Supervisor, House - RN role, providing leadership across shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

You will act as the administrative point of contact during evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, coordinating patient flow, staffing, emergencies, and policy compliance while guiding clinical staff.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure and strong leadership skills.
• 1–2 years leadership experience preferred.
• 1–2 years clinical experience in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees hospital operations during shifts with appropriate staffing.
• Coordinate patient flow, admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Serve as administrative point of contact after hours and on weekends.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and quality care.
• Supervise nursing staff and provide clinical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Address patient and family inquiries professionally.
• Conduct hospital rounds and support performance improvement.
