Job summary

Qualifications

• Nursing credential and state licensure required or as applicable
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for leadership role
• BCLS certification required at hire or within specified time frame
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate acute care nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing service activities for the assigned shift to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Interpret hospital policies and state regulations as they relate to nursing operations
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for the shift
• Maintain infection control practices and environmental standards
• Communicate with leadership to address issues and incidents promptly
• Mentor staff and participate in orientation and in-service education
